Lancaster RMO: Trauma & Resilience Series, and Second Chance Month events


HEALING NEEN FILM SCREENINGS: This inspiring and hopeful film examines the intersections of trauma, addiction, mental health, and criminal justice system involvement, and most importantly, the power and possibilities for resilience and healing. After surviving a childhood of abuse and neglect, followed by 19 years of homelessness and 66 criminal convictions, Tonier “Neen” Cain finally received treatment for her lifetime of trauma, which offered her a way out... and up. 

HEALING COMMUNITIES TRAININGS: Healing Communities is a proven, national model, created by the Annie E Casey Foundation and faith leaders from across the theological spectrum, to engage clergy and congregations in the restoration and healing of their own members who have been impacted by crime and the criminal justice system.- $40 per participant or $100 for 3 people from the same congregation.

TRAUMA 101 TRAININGS: Trauma 101: Understanding Trauma, Resilience and Trauma-Informed Care for anyone in the community who interacts with individuals and families who may have experienced trauma, including human services and healthcare professionals, educators, the faith community, government agencies and others. - $30 per participant
