Documentary "Out in the Silence" Sun., Dec. 4, 2011, 3-5 pm
An inspirational documentary that illustrates the challenge of being an outsider in a conservative rural community and the change that is possible when courageous people break the silence and search for common ground.
“Out in the Silence,” about the lives of ordinary LGBT Pennsylvanians around Oil City, PA., will be shown to the public at Lancaster Friends Meeting on Sun., Dec. 4, 2011, from 3-5 pm. It is free. A panel discussion with the audience will follow. The panel will be composed of Kent E. Kroehler, a retired United Methodist clergy; Barry Russell, an out business owner and leader in Embrace; Jodi Good, a young adult service provider for Community Services Group; and Sara Hernon-Reeves, a McCaskey High School senior.
